During the COVID-19 Pandemic, I took a year off from studying at Stanford. I chose to take a year off because of the lack of hands on experience available during online instruction.
During this year, I took a year-long automotive technology course at Lincoln Technical Institute, a local technical school located in Maryland. During this year, I was able to work on my own car, applying the lessons I learned from instruction onto my own vehicle.
Taking the year off to learn more about the inner workings of the automobile allowed me to make connections between real world experiences with the theory learned from my academics.
